Buy an Austria vignette: digital in a few steps
The digital vignette is tied to your plate, not a sticker. What matters is the correct country of registration, start date, and confirmation in the ASFINAG system.
What you need before buying
Have your plate and country of registration ready, pick a start date (usually arrival day) and duration (10 days, 2 months or annual). Check whether your route uses A/S roads — and whether section tolls (Brenner, Tauern, …) apply on top.
ASFINAG shop vs Vignette Go
The official shop charges only the tariff, but you handle language, payment and multi-country trips yourself. With Vignette Go you pick Austria (and more countries) in one checkout; we register via the state portal and confirm by email. A service fee applies.
When you may drive
Only after the vignette is active in ASFINAG and the start date has begun. Order before you leave — manual fulfillment is typically daytime (about 06:00–18:00 CET), not realtime at midnight.
